You Go Girl...!!48 Women Entrepreneurs raised  580M in Venture Capital in 2000

The Forum for Women Entrepreneurs (FWE), the premier entrepreneurial organization for women building and leading high-growth technology and life science companies, recently honored 48 women entrepreneurs from California, Colorado, Oregon and Washington at its second annual Trailblazers Reception. In total, these FWE member companies collectively raised over $580 million in angel, corporate or venture funding in the past 15 months

The Trailblazers event attendees included the honorees, the venture capital community, FWE Board and Advisory Board members, FWE sponsors and partners, and members of the media. Event keynote speakers included Denise Brosseau, CEO and Co-Founder of FWE; Jennifer Gill Roberts, FWE Co-Founder and National Board Chair and General Partner at Sevin Rosen Funds; and Cynthia Ringo, CEO of CopperCom, FWE National Board Member, and recipient of the 2000 FWE Entrepreneurial Achievement Award.

"We're thrilled to honor such a successful group of women entrepreneurs at this second annual event," said Denise Brosseau. "The past year has been especially challenging for young companies, with the recent market correction and a slowdown in venture funding, so we are incredibly proud to celebrate such tremendous successes for our member companies."
